We live here. We work here. We give here. The Dick Hannah Dealerships team is committed to supporting those who share this community and its resources with us. From donating raffle vehicles that raise thousands of dollars for the Children's Cancer Society, to giving a new car to a high school student who improves their grades, to planting a tree for every vehicle we sell, we're committed in supporting local families, education and the environment.
Dick Hannah Dealerships partners with the CCA by donating a car as a raffle prize to raise money during their annual Valentine's Day for CCA radiothon each February. This event promotes awareness and support to the CCA's award-winning programs and resources that bring joy and hope to seriously ill children and their families. Employee volunteers staff the phone bank to help the CCA with in incoming phone donations.
These organizations receive donations of cash, loaned vehicles or both:
Dick Hannah's Strive 2 Drive High School Academic Initiative recognized students who achieved high academic standards OR showed improvement from the first grading period to the last. At the end of the school year, qualified students were invited to attend a public event where one student's name was drawn and that student received their choice of a brand new car.
To prepare technicians for a skilled career, Dick Hannah Dealerships offers a scholarship and internship program where students receive on-the-job training in our service departments while completing their education at Clark College.
With an initiative launched by our Green Task Force in 2007, Dick Hannah Dealerships plants a tree for every vehicle sold. To date, we have planted 149,600 trees in southwest Washington. Now that's green!
Dick Hannah Dealerships sets the standard for environmental best practices for automotive dealerships. Our internal Green Task Force partners with Waste Connections, Inc. and Clark Public Utilities to evaluate and implement waste reduction strategies and energy saving techniques.
